Films can make you think differently

The 5th and the last Open Dialogue Cafe before summer happened on the 12th of June. We had “Movie Night”. We watched “Skin” a short film directed by Israeli film maker Guy Nattiv. Skin won the 2019 Academy Award for best live action short film. A few words about the movie: “In a small supermarket in a blue collar town, a black man smiles at 10-year old white boy across the checkout aisle. This innocuous moment sends two gangs into a ruthless war that ends with a shocking backlash”. The movie was really immersive and the feelings in the end were so many and different and we finished our night discussing and sharing our opinions and our emotions about the movie. Another unique experience as hosts of Open Dialogue Cafe, meeting all these different and lovely participants among all these events ended this Wednesday. We are going to have a summer break let’s say and we are looking forward to meet all together again in October. Stay tuned!
